The interesting possibility of LEDs to produce coloured light is especially fitting to globe lights.
The advantages of light emitting diodes
LED pendant lights, LED ceiling lights etc. - Light-emitting diodes waste much less electricity than conventional light sources such as incandescent and halogen bulbs; even the compact fluorescent bulbs sold as energy-saving light bulbs cause a significantly higher electricity bill. Furthermore, LEDs last much longer and do not flicker. Since they generate less heat, safety in children's rooms is also improved. With many floor lamps, the existing light bulbs can easily be replaced by LED bulbs with the appropriate socket. The brightness is no longer linked to the wattage but expressed by the total luminous flux generated by the lamp: the brightness of a 40-Watt bulb corresponds to approximately 415 lumens. To replace a 60-Watt bulb, the light emitting diodes should emit at least 700 lumens.
