The patio is used as an extended living room, dining room, study and playroom in the warm spring and summer months. Patio lighting that is as functional as it is beautiful is therefore a great asset to life at home. Patio lights create an atmosphere, tracing the lines of the architecture while enlarging the space.
How to Light Your Patio
A key factor in planning patio lighting is, of course, the size of the patio. Small patios in particular require lighting that takes up as little space as possible. For example, wall luminaires and recessed floor spots have proved their worth here. It is also possible to use garden luminaires with ground spikes by inserting them into flowerbeds or grass along the edge of the patio.
It is also important to keep cables short, because power cables lying around can quickly become a dangerous tripping hazard. This problem does not arise with solar patio lights, which, however, require sufficient sunlight. Battery-powered patio lights are also a popular option that keep the patio cable-free. If the terrace is partially covered, a beautiful pendant light above the table protected from the rain is recommended.
