The Most Beautiful Marble Table Lamps: Exquisite Lighting

With its fascinating, individual grains, marble has become a popular material for interior design objects - also for lamps. In lamps, for example, the precious stone can be found in the lamp base of table or floor lamps. We show you our most beautiful lamps made of marble and explain what makes the natural stone so popular.

Marble Table Lamps

Marble is made for classy interior design. Because the stone can be wonderfully processed in the form of lamps, we have selected the most beautiful models for you and are now asking ourselves: If your table lamp should contain marble - in which colour would you choose the marble lamp base? We have both marble table lamps with white marble in our assortment as well as some in fine dark colours. If you are not sure which colour scheme suits you better, take a look at the Lucide Mirasol or the Maoro table lamp, for example, which we offer in different colour variations. Which one do you like better?

The combination of a marble lamp base and a golden lampshade gives this marble table lamp a particularly elegant effect. It can be ideally combined with other marble decorations and furniture in your home. When you switch on the Lucide Mirasol, it casts its warm light on the precious stone and puts it in the limelight.

What is marble?

Marble is glossy, polished, decorative limestone. It is created by a process that takes place inside the earth. In the process, carbon-rich rocks such as limestones or dolomites are exposed to high pressure and high temperatures: The precious product is marbled with its characteristic fine grains.

Another impressive marble table lamp is the "Glossy" by Nordlux - perfection in white. Without distracting accessories, the puristic Glossy, simple as it is, attracts attention. Because the mushroom-shaped, smoothly polished lampshade has an equally delicate colouring as the base of the table lamp made of marble, the delicate grey grains in the marble are wonderfully accentuated. We can imagine the lamp well in the living room, where it can be placed prominently on a shelf or chest of drawers, but also if you are looking for a marble bedside lamp, the Glossy is a great option for a modern bedroom with style.

What makes marble so special?

Whether in the form of a work surface, as a tile or as a marbled detail of a lamp: polished marble looks impressively elegant with its crystalline texture. The grains, shaped by the processes of the earth's history, make every product of this precious stone unique. But it is not only the grains of the hard natural product that fascinate. The different colour nuances also make the stone so versatile. Depending on the quarrying area and country, the marble types differ in colouring, structure and hardness.

Marble Floor Lamps

With marble floor lamps, the focus is not only on the functional aspect but also on the appearance. Since time immemorial, marble has been regarded as a particularly precious material, which is still used today in luxurious interior design or as a stylish accessory for decoration. No wonder - the marble floor lamps come across gracefully and make an impression with their grained patterns.

A true work of art with marble is the Flos Arco arc lamp. The designer lamp is not only eye-catching because of its lampshade that projects far into the room; its solid marble lamp base made of light stone with grey veining is also a distinctive feature of the world's first arc lamp. The design classic was created by Achille Castiglioni.

Where does marble come from?

Marble is quarried in many regions of the world, for example in Germany, Italy, France, Greece or India. The particularly pure, white marble varieties from the Italian natural stone quarrying area not far from the city of Carrara are among the best known and most luxurious in the world. With their extremely delicate veining, the "Carrara Marbles", as they are colloquially called, radiate a cool elegance. They are called 'white gold'. About 50 types of marble are quarried in the region around Carrara, which is known for its precious stone. When polished, marble shines like no other natural material. The varieties Nero Marquina from Spain or Grigio Carnico from Italy are characterised by a dark to black colour.

If you are looking for a designer lamp made of marble, then take a look at our Tecnolumen Egyptian Eye lamp. We offer the floor lamp in two different marble colours: Glossy with white-grey colouring and in matt black with light, very delicate veining. "Egyptian Eye" has another surprise in store for you besides an exquisite design, which reveals itself to you when you switch it on: The fascinating play of light that the small floor lamp casts onto the ceiling. With the cord dimmer, you can adjust the brightness to your liking.
