Lights with integrated twilight switches are available in a wide and varied range. However, twilight switches are also available separately; when shopping, make sure that the products are compatible. If in doubt, it helps to ask the manufacturer or customer service. While analogue models were common in the past, there are now mainly digital twilight switches.

Twilight Switchs with Timers

Twilight switches with timers can be set with pinpoint accuracy. At bedtime, the lighting then switches off again automatically to light up again before dawn if required. Another clever feature is the time delay, which prevents car headlights or sudden dark shadows from mistakenly activating the twilight switch.

Connecting a Twilight Switch

External twilight switches for retrofitting are compact components that can be fitted very inconspicuously, often even invisibly inside the luminaire housing. Make sure to make the connections correctly; if in doubt, ask support or a competent electrician! With proper planning, it is possible to operate several luminaires with the same twilight switch without any problems, provided they use the same circuit. However, the switching load of the component must not be exceeded! Attention: The light from the lights thenselves must not fall on the twilight switch, of course, so as not to disturb its schedule.
